The First Three Million Years is an in-depth, retrospective Red Dwarf documentary mini-series broadcast in three parts on the Dave channel in August 2020. The documentary mini-series was originally supposed to broadcast in early April 2020, around the same time as the feature length special "The Promised Land". However, issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown delayed the post-production, and it did not air until August 2020.
