Being an affectionado of retro electronic toy robots, I made a point of picking up all of the 1980's "Omnibots" that I never owned but longed for as a kid.

They usually spend most of their time hanging around in the Attic with occasional trips into work as lunchtime restoration projects.

Whilst being capable of a few neat tricks, it's the appearance of them more than the functionality that draws me in.

I have pondered with buying a modern robotics kit and updating one of them to do bigger better wireless things, however I haven't got the heart to pick one of them and rip its guts out in favour of more modern inards.

I did however have a mess around with Omnibot 2000 whilst he was stripped down for restoration by combining parts of him with an intelligent recusitation dummy that I was in the middle of testing. The results of the experimentation gave birth to Omnibot 3000 which is erm... a bit creepy.

And I couldn't leave Omnibot 2000 out during the seasonal celebrations a few months ago.

Watch "Superman 3" - Extended TV version above or download here. Note. This is ripped from a VHS Video recording from TV as the quality reflects. You won't find a better quality version as this is the only format that this cut of the movie exists on. If I had a dollar for every time that I've seen comments about the version of Superman 3 that someone has watched on TV / DVD / Blu Ray being either "shorter than the version they saw at the cinema" or "shorter than the version they used to own on VHS video"... I'd have around 6 dollars by now. Blitz Coder#1 - Space Invaders Emulator

Having been a big fan of emulation since I first used a ZX Spectrum emulator on my Commodore Amiga 500 computer in the early 90's, I decided that it was time to learn how emulators worked and write my own one. An intel 8080 based Taito Arcade Platform emulator is a great base level emulator to learn how emulators work and was a really fun coding project to do. I wrote the initial basic emulator five years ago but I am lousy at finishing projects so I decided to change the habit of a lifetime and add multiple games along with game artwork and polish this up and for once, get a project completed and released.
